Getting to Know PP Strapping Band
PP (Polypropylene) is the most widely used strapping band in Indonesia. The material is light, flexible, and economical — well suited for light to medium loads such as corrugated carton boxes, paper products, and distribution parcels.
Its key characteristics:
- High elasticity, absorbing shocks during transit
- Available for full automatic, semi-automatic, and manual use
- The most economical cost per metre
- Ideal for high-volume strapping with non-extreme loads

Getting to Know PET Strapping Band
PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) is a polyester-based band with far higher tensile strength. PET is widely adopted as the modern replacement for steel strap because it is safer to handle and never rusts.
Its key characteristics:
- High tensile strength for heavy loads
- Excellent tension retention — straps stay tight even as loads settle during shipping
- Rust-free and far safer for operators than steel strap
- Ideal for heavy pallets, AAC blocks, ceramics, and building materials
When to Choose PP, When to Choose PET?
Choose PP when your loads are light to medium, strapping volume is high, and cost efficiency is the priority. Most carton box and pulp & paper plants run on PP.
Choose PET for heavy loads, long-distance shipments, or if you are still using steel strap and want to switch to a safer, more economical option. The AAC and ceramics industries typically use PET or heavy-duty PP.
